1. Getting Started — Authentication & Onboarding

How to Register

• Email & Password: Go to the Sign Up page and enter your name, email address, and a password (minimum 6 characters). Your email is your primary login identifier.
• Facebook SSO (Single Sign-On): Click "Continue with Facebook" to log in using your Facebook account. This automatically pulls your name and profile and creates an account instantly — no password needed.

Logging In

• You can log in with your registered email, an optional secondary login email (configurable in Settings), or your username.
• If you signed up with Facebook and want to set a password later (e.g., for email-based login), go to Settings → Security → Set Password.

Onboarding & Profile Completion

• After first login, a guided onboarding flow will walk you through connecting your Instagram account.
• We recommend visiting Settings immediately after signup to complete your profile with your Surname, WhatsApp Phone Number, and Timezone to ensure your scheduled posts and AI notifications work correctly. You can also join our WhatsApp Community Channel for live updates.

2. Connecting Your Instagram

Requirements

• You must have an Instagram Business or Creator account (not a personal account).
• Your Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook Page you manage. This is a Meta requirement for API access.

Auto-Sync Process

When you log in with Facebook, the system automatically:

1. Fetches all Facebook Pages you manage.
2. Detects the Instagram Business Account linked to each Page.
3. Securely connects them to your InstaGenius AI account.
4. Captures your high-resolution Facebook profile picture for instant personalization.

Token Security

• We store an encrypted, long-lived access token (valid for ~60 days) that lets us post on your behalf.
• A background service automatically monitors token expiry and attempts silent refreshes so you are never unexpectedly disconnected.
• If a token expires and cannot be refreshed, you will be prompted to reconnect.

Account Limits

• The number of Instagram accounts you can connect simultaneously depends on your subscription plan. See the Pricing Page for the current limits per plan.

Pausing & Reconnecting

• Accounts can be temporarily paused from the Accounts section — this suspends posting but keeps the connection alive.
• If the connection is broken (e.g., you changed your Facebook password), use the "Reconnect" button in the Accounts section.

3. Dashboard — Your Control Centre

The Dashboard gives you an at-a-glance overview of everything happening across your connected Instagram accounts.

• Credit Balance: Live display of your current AI Credit balance with a link to purchase more.
• Usage Meter: Tracks your current monthly usage for Posts, Stories, Carousels, Reels, and AI Images against your plan limits.
• Quota Reset: Your usage counters reset automatically on the first day of your billing cycle each month.
• Connected Account Switcher: Quickly switch between multiple Instagram accounts.
• Content Stats: Breakdown of your recent content by status (Posted, Scheduled, Pending, Failed).

4. AI Multi-Agent Studio

The AI Multi-Agent Studio is the primary all-in-one workspace for creating Instagram-ready content using AI.

What It Does

A set of specialized AI sub-agents collaborates to generate a complete content package for any topic you provide:

• AI Caption Generator: Produces multiple caption variations in your chosen tone (Engaging, Professional, Funny, Inspirational, etc.). Captions respect your Brand Kit's voice if configured. Free — no credits required.
• AI Hashtag Generator: Generates a targeted set of hashtags optimized for reach and niche relevance for your topic. Free — no credits required.
• AI Viral Hooks: Generates multiple high-impact opening hooks for your captions designed to maximize engagement in the first 3 seconds.
• AI Viral Audit: Performs a predictive analysis of your content (image + caption) to provide a virality score, hook strength rating, and actionable improvement suggestions based on real-time insights.
• AI Trending Topics: Fetches AI-analysed trending content angles for your specific niche to help you stay relevant.
• AI Prompt Enhancer: Takes a basic image description and enhances it into a detailed, studio-quality generation prompt for the image generator.

Key Requirements

• Provide a topic (e.g., "Diwali sale for a clothing brand", "Fitness morning routine tips") — this is the only required input.
• Optionally configure your Brand Kit first so the AI personalizes content to your brand voice.

5. AI Visual Studio

The AI Visual Studio is a professional-grade canvas for creating high-fidelity AI images to use in your posts.

Generating AI Images

• Enter a prompt describing the image you want. Use the AI Prompt Enhancer to improve a basic description into a cinema-quality prompt.
• Choose your aspect ratio: 1:1 (Square post), 4:5 (Portrait post), 9:16 (Story/Reel cover).
• Choose a fidelity style: Commercial (clean product-style) or Cinematic (editorial/filmic).
• Standard AI Image: Generates a clean background image. Costs credits per generation.
• Premium AI Image (Product Integration): Combines your uploaded product photo with a generated background — ideal for e-commerce. Costs more credits due to higher model complexity.

Credit Cost for Image Generation

• Generation is run asynchronously in the background. You will receive a Job ID and see your live position in the processing queue to prevent page timeouts on complex renders.
• Credit deduction happens upfront before generation begins. If generation fails for any reason, your credits are automatically refunded to your account immediately.

Image Variations

• You can request multiple image variations in one generation (e.g., 4 different versions of the same prompt). Each variation multiplies the credit cost.

⚠️ Note: Image generation uses Google Vertex AI (Imagen). Due to Meta-level content safety policies, prompts are sanitized automatically to prevent policy violations.

6. AI Story Studio

The AI Story Studio is a full-featured drag-and-drop editor specifically for creating Instagram Stories.

Features

• Canvas Editor: A 9:16 canvas (1080x1920) matches Instagram Story dimensions exactly.
• Background Options: Solid colors, gradients, or AI-generated full-bleed images.
• Text Layers: Add multiple text layers with font size, color, and position controls. All text layers are fully draggable and resizable within the canvas bounds.
• Image Layers: Import your AI-generated images or upload your own to layer over backgrounds.
• Stickers & Overlays: Add decorative elements from the sticker library.
• Export & Share: Flatten all layers to a single image and send directly to Instagram, or download as PNG/JPEG.

7. AI Carousel Builder

Build stunning multi-slide carousel posts that are proven to drive 3x more engagement than single-image posts.

How to Build a Carousel

1. Enter a Topic: Describe what you want the carousel to be about (e.g., "5 tips to grow on Instagram").
2. Draft Slides: Click Draft Slides — the AI generates a full slide-by-slide plan (3–8 slides) with a headline, body text, and a detailed image prompt for each slide. This step costs credits.
3. Auto-Visuals: Click Auto-Visuals to generate AI images for all slides in one click. The button is automatically locked during generation to prevent duplicate requests — it shows a spinning Generating... state. Each slide also shows Queued... Auto-generating while waiting.
4. Per-Slide Regeneration: Hover over any generated slide image to reveal a Regenerate button. The 1st regeneration is free — subsequent regenerations cost credits.
5. Edit: Customize the slide titles, body text, and the single shared caption directly in the editor.
6. Publish: Post directly to Instagram as a native carousel, or schedule for a future time.

Carousel Rules (Instagram)

• Minimum 2 slides, maximum 10 slides (AI generates 3–8 based on topic complexity).
• Every slide must have an image or video.
• Caption limit: 2,200 characters total — this is a single shared caption for all slides.
• Maximum 30 hashtags per post.

💡 Tip: Instagram displays one caption for the entire carousel. Each slide image can be unique and tell a different part of the story.

8. AI Reels Director

The AI Reels Director is a complete Reel creation pipeline from concept to publication.

Step 1 — Reel Blueprint

• Enter your topic and desired duration (15s, 30s, 60s, or 90s).
• The AI generates a full scene-by-scene blueprint: shot composition, narration, B-roll suggestions, and on-screen text ideas.
• No credits required for blueprint generation.

Step 2 — AI Video Generation

• Once you have a blueprint, you can trigger AI Video Generation from the prompt.
• This runs in the background as a long-running task (up to several minutes). You can navigate away and come back — the result will be ready.
• Credit cost: Video generation is the most compute-intensive task on the platform. See the Pricing Page for the current credit cost. Duration multiplies the cost.

Step 3 — Audio Mixing

• Once your video is generated, optionally add a background audio track from our library.
• You can control the video volume and audio volume separately (0–100%).

Step 4 — Optimization & Publish

• The system auto-optimizes your video for Instagram's format requirements before uploading.
• Posts directly to Instagram as a native Reel.

Reel Rules (Instagram)

• Maximum duration: 90 seconds.
• Supported video format: MP4 (H.264).
• Minimum aspect ratio: 4:5, recommended: 9:16 (vertical).

How Context Works

• The AI Strategy Hub automatically pulls data from your connected account analytics (if synced) to give personalized, data-driven recommendations rather than generic advice.

10. AI Remix Station

The AI Remix Station lets you repurpose any existing content into a completely different format.

How It Works

1. Paste Source Content: Paste a blog post, a long caption, a product description, OR enter a URL (Article, Blog, News, or YouTube Video) to scrape content directly.
2. Choose a target format: Options include Instagram Caption, Carousel Script, Reel Hook, Story Text, LinkedIn Post, Twitter Thread, or Email Newsletter.
3. The AI extracts the "Viral Essence" and rewrites the content optimized for the chosen format, adapting the tone and length for maximum retention.

AI Hashtag Insights tracks the actual real-world performance of hashtags you use in your posts and learns over time.

What It Tracks

• Reach per hashtag: Which hashtags are driving the most unique accounts to your posts.
• Impression uplift: How much incremental impressions each hashtag contributes.
• Engagement correlation: Which hashtags appear in your best-performing posts.
• Historical performance: Trending direction over the past 7, 30, or 90 days (retention period depends on your plan).

How to Use It

• After publishing posts with hashtags, the system syncs performance data from Instagram within 24–48 hours.
• Navigate to AI Hashtag Insights in the sidebar to see your personalized performance dashboard.
• Use the insights to curate your own high-performing hashtag sets and stop wasting slots on hashtags that bring zero reach.

12. AI Festival Studio

The AI Festival Studio is a specialized content factory for creating culturally relevant festival and occasion posts.

How It Works

1. Select a Festival or Occasion from the calendar (Diwali, Holi, Eid, Christmas, Independence Day, Women's Day, etc.) or enter a custom occasion.
2. Choose an Aspect Ratio: Select from Square (1:1), Portrait (4:5), or Story (9:16) dimensions.
3. Upload Product (Optional): Upload your product photo and select AI Fusion to launch the Creative Director chat, which integrates your product directly into the scene.
4. AI Generates: A single, highly-optimized ready-to-post image with festive design, a tailored caption in your brand's voice, and matching hashtags.
5. Customize & Publish: Edit any element (like the floating text overlays) before publishing directly to Instagram.

Why It Exists

Festival posts are one of the highest-engagement content types in India. The AI Festival Studio lets you produce 10+ festival posts in minutes instead of hours.

13. AI Business Flyer Studio

The AI Business Flyer Studio (/business-flyer) is a dedicated marketing creative engine for generating professional branded flyers — ideal for promotions, service announcements, event invites, and festive offers.

How to Create a Flyer

1. Select Your Instagram Account from the account selector at the top.
2. Set Up Your Brand Kit (optional but recommended): Logo, colors, tagline, phone, website, and address are pulled automatically from your saved Brand Kit. You can override any field inline.
3. Choose Flyer Style:
   • Let AI Decide (Recommended): AI analyzes your brand niche, colors, and message and selects the optimal visual style automatically.
   • Modern & Clean: Minimalist, whitespace-forward corporate look.
   • Bold & Vibrant: High-contrast, energetic design for promotions and sales.
   • Luxury & Premium: Rich dark tones, gold accents — ideal for jewelry, fashion, hospitality.
   • Festival & Traditional: Warm ethnic patterns, culturally resonant for Indian occasions.
   • Cinematic: Dramatic gradients, cinematic depth for storytelling brands.
4. Choose Aspect Ratio: Square (1:1), Portrait (4:5), or Story (9:16).
5. Enter Extra Info: Any specific message, offer details, event name, or call-to-action for this flyer.
6. Click Generate Flyer — AI produces a high-fidelity branded image in seconds.

Brand Data Toggles

Every brand element can be individually enabled or disabled before generation:

• 🔵 Logo — Embed your brand logo into the flyer.
• 🔵 Brand Name — Include your business name prominently.
• 🔵 Tagline — Add your brand tagline below the name.
• 🔵 Phone Number — Show contact phone on the flyer.
• 🔵 Website — Display your website URL.
• 🔵 Address — Include your business address.
• 🔵 Business Info — Add custom descriptive text (e.g., "Open 9AM–9PM, 7 days").
• 🔵 Brand Colors — Apply your hex color palette to the visual.

All toggles default to ON. Disabling a toggle removes that element from the generated flyer entirely.

Inline Brand Editing

You do not need to leave the Flyer Studio to update your brand details. Click "Edit Brand Details" directly on the studio to modify any Brand Kit field on the spot — changes are saved to your Brand Kit and immediately used in the next generation.

After Generation

• Regenerate: Generate a fresh variation with different AI styling.
• Post Now / Schedule: Opens the Content Calendar post modal to publish or schedule the flyer.
• Auto-Schedule Campaign Series: Launch the AI Campaign Scheduler to plan and schedule a multi-post series using this flyer's brand settings (see Section 13.1 below).

13.1 AI Multi-Post Campaign Scheduler

After generating a flyer, click "🗓️ Auto-Schedule Campaign with Similar Settings" to launch the AI Campaign Scheduler — a fully automated multi-post series planner.

What It Does

The Campaign Scheduler uses AI to plan a cohesive narrative campaign across 3, 5, or 7 posts — each with a distinct angle, headline, caption, hashtags, and matching branded flyer image — and places them on your Content Calendar on future dates.

Step 1 — Campaign Setup

• Campaign Theme / Goal: Describe the purpose (e.g., "Weekly Services Showcase", "Diwali Festive Specials", "New Product Launch Promo").
• Series Size: Choose a preset:
  • 3 Posts (Next 5 Days): Mon / Wed / Fri rhythm — balanced visibility.
  • 5 Posts (Weekdays Mon–Fri): High-visibility authority week.
  • 7 Posts (Full Week Daily): Maximum reach launch campaign.
• Start Date: Pick when the series begins (defaults to tomorrow).
• Posting Time: Set the preferred time for all posts in the series.
• Reuse Current Flyer for Post #1: Toggle ON to use the flyer you just generated as the first post's image.
• Generate Images Now: Toggle ON to have AI generate branded flyer images for each post immediately (uses credits). Toggle OFF to save as placeholder drafts and add images later.

Step 2 — AI Plans the Campaign

Click "Generate Campaign Plan" — AI creates a full narrative arc:

• A unique angle and title for each post (e.g., "Problem Awareness", "Social Proof", "Urgency CTA").
• Distinct headline, subtext, and caption per post.
• A tailored image prompt for visual generation.
• Auto-calculated schedule dates based on your frequency preference.

Step 3 — Review & Edit

Preview each planned post using the navigation arrows. You can:

• Edit the caption directly in the preview.
• Edit the headline for the image.
• See the scheduled date and time.

Step 4 — Choose Approval Mode

• 📋 Review & Approve (Recommended): Posts are saved as Pending on your Content Calendar. You review each one and approve when ready — AI does not publish without your explicit sign-off.
• ⚡ Full Autopilot: Posts are immediately marked as Scheduled and the publishing worker will automatically publish each post at its designated time with no further action required.

Step 5 — Approve from Calendar

If you chose Review & Approve mode:

1. Navigate to the Content Calendar (/calendar).
2. A yellow banner at the top shows: "N Posts Pending Your Approval."
3. Click "View Pending" to filter and inspect each post.
4. Click "Approve All" to arm all pending campaign posts for automated publishing in one click.

Credit Note: Generating images for each campaign post consumes the same credits as individual flyer generation (3 credits for Standard, 6 credits for Premium). A 5-post campaign with image generation uses up to 15–30 credits. Text-only drafts use zero credits.

14. AI Brand Kit

Your AI Brand Kit is the core identity store that every AI tool references when generating content. You can configure this directly on the Settings page under the AI Brand Kit sub-tab.

What to Configure

• Brand Name & Tagline: The AI incorporates these naturally into captions and strategy suggestions.
• Brand Voice: Choose from predefined tones (Witty, Authoritative, Friendly, Luxurious) or write your own custom voice description.
• Primary Niche: Your content category (Fashion, Food, Fitness, Technology, Jewellery, etc.).
• Color Palette: Define your brand's hex colors — the AI uses these when generating visuals.
• Logo Upload: Your logo is stored in cloud storage (S3) and auto-applied as a watermark in Festival Studio outputs.
• Target Audience: Describe your ideal customer (age group, interests, location, language).

Caption Watermarking

• Free Plan: All captions (copied, generated, or published) will automatically have a subtle watermark appended: "Made with ❤️ by InstaGenius - https://ig.techshekhada.com/signup". This is mandatory on the Free tier and cannot be disabled.
• Paid Plans: Subscribers can fully disable the watermark and maintain pure brand consistency via Settings → Caption Branding.

15. Content Library

The Content Library is your central archive of every piece of content created within InstaGenius AI.

What's Stored

• All AI-generated images (stored permanently in cloud storage).
• All posts — drafts, scheduled posts, published posts, and failed posts.
• All AI-generated captions, hashtag sets, and Reel blueprints linked to each content item.

Filtering & Sorting

• Filter by status: Draft, Scheduled, Posted, Failed, Processing.
• Filter by type: Post, Story, Reel, Carousel.
• Filter by account (if you manage multiple Instagram accounts).
• Sort by most recent or scheduled date.

Content Actions

• Edit / Resume: Modify the caption, hashtags, or scheduled time. If it is an AI-generated draft, clicking "Resume" or "Edit" will re-open it in its original Studio (e.g., Carousel Builder, Reels Director) with all settings, prompts, and layouts fully restored so you can continue where you left off.
• Post Now: Instantly publish any Draft or Scheduled item.
• Delete: Remove the content record (the media files remain in cloud storage for safety).
• Duplicate: Clone any existing content item as a new draft.

Drafts and Quotas

Saving a post as a Draft or Scheduled post does not consume your monthly posting quota. Your quota is only consumed when the post is successfully Published to Instagram. This means you can create unlimited drafts!

Manual Content Creation

While InstaGenius AI provides powerful creative studios, you can also upload your own pre-made content directly to the Content Library:

1. Click Create Content to open the manual upload modal.
2. Select your account and content type (Image Post, Reel, or Story). Note: Carousels must be built in the dedicated Carousel Builder.
3. Upload Media or paste a URL.
4. Write your caption and hashtags.
5. Click Post Now or select a date/time to Schedule.

16. Post Scheduling & Publishing

How Scheduling Works

1. Create your content (image, caption, hashtags).
2. Select a future date and time for the post.
3. The system creates a scheduled job that fires at the exact specified time and posts to Instagram via the API.
4. You'll receive a notification when the post is successfully published (or if it fails).

Optimal Time Suggestions

• Click the "Suggest Best Time" button when scheduling — the AI analyzes your account's historical engagement patterns to recommend the highest-impact time slots.
• For new accounts without enough history, the AI uses niche-level benchmarks.

Post Status Flow

Draft → Scheduled → Processing → Posted ✅
                              → Failed ❌ (retried automatically)

Last-Action Dominance (Rescheduling)

To prevent accidental duplicate posts, InstaGenius AI uses a Last-Action Dominance logic.

• If you reschedule a post that is already in the queue, the system automatically cancels the old scheduled job and replaces it with the new one.
• Similarly, clicking "Post Now" on an already scheduled item will immediately publish the content and cleanly remove the pending job from the queue.
• Session Persistence: When you "Resume" a draft, the system tracks its unique identity. Any updates you save will overwrite the existing draft/schedule instead of creating a duplicate record in your library.

17. Credits & Billing

What Are Credits?

Credits are the internal currency for computationally intensive AI tasks — primarily AI image and video generation.

High-Precision "Micro-Costs"

For automated features, we use high-precision billing (supporting up to 4 decimal places). This allows you to pay only for what you use:

⚠️ Cost Accuracy: We use 4-decimal precision (e.g. 0.0001) to ensure you are billed fairly for tiny tasks. Credit costs may be adjusted by the admin based on server costs.

Monthly Posts & Quota Tracking

• Unified Post Quota Tracking: All created, scheduled, and published content formats (single images, reels, carousels, and stories) count towards your plan's monthly post quota.
• Dynamic Quota Reconciliation: Your usage metrics automatically sync with your active content in real-time across the Content Calendar, Product Launch Funnels, and Content Library.
• Quota Breakdown: In the Monthly Quota dashboard, your post counter displays both the total posts used this cycle and a detailed breakdown of published vs. scheduled posts.

Subscription Expiration

• Automatic Downgrade: If your subscription is not renewed by its expiry date, your account will automatically transition to the Free Tier.
• Usage Limits: Your monthly post and image limits will be reset to the Free tier defaults immediately upon expiration.
• Data Safety: We do not delete your posts, library, or analytics when a plan expires. You can still access your historical data and upgrade again at any time.
• Credit Preservation: Any unspent AI Credits you purchased as a separate pack never expire and will remain in your account even on the Free tier.

⚠️ Credit costs may be adjusted by the admin at any time. Always check the billing screen for the current cost before generating.

How Monthly Credits Work

• Subscribers on paid plans receive a fresh credit grant at the start of each billing cycle.
• Annual subscribers receive 12 months' worth of credits upfront at the time of purchase.
• Unused credits from one month do not roll over (unless you purchase additional credit packs, which never expire).

What Happens When You Run Out?

• You will see an error: "Insufficient credits."
• Standard AI tasks (captions, hashtags, scheduling) will continue to work.
• You can purchase additional credit packs from the Billing section at any time.

Failed Generations & Auto-Refunds

• If an AI task (like an image or reel generation) fails due to policy violations, server load, or timeouts, the system will automatically refund the exact credit amount back to your account immediately.

Promo Codes & Discounts

• Promo codes can be applied to subscription purchases to receive a percentage or flat discount.
• One-Time Use: All promotional discount codes are strictly limited to one use per user account. They cannot be reused on subsequent renewals or plan upgrades.

Credit History

• Go to Billing → Credit History to see a full log of every credit transaction: grants, deductions, purchases, and admin grants.

18. Invite Friends — Referral Rewards

Your Unique Referral Link

• Every account has a unique 8-character referral code. Find it on the Invite Friends page (/invite) or via the topbar user profile menu.

Bonuses

• When a new user signs up using your referral link, you automatically receive 20 Bonus AI Posts added to your monthly quota.
• These bonus posts are applied immediately upon successful email verification of the referred user.
• Fair Use: Referral bonuses are limited to the first 3 successful referrals per account.

19. Settings & Profile

Access Settings from the sidebar to manage your account. Settings features a unified tabbed layout containing Profile Settings, Publishing & Reels, and AI Brand Kit:

• Profile Settings: Update your personal information, contact info, preferences, and notifications.
• Publishing & Reels: Configure default publishing, cross-posting, and reel interaction parameters globally or per Instagram account.
• AI Brand Kit: Configure your brand tone, target audience, brand name, mobile number, palette, and logo.

Publishing & Reels Defaults

Configure how your posts and reels publish by default without having to manually re-configure them every time:

• Scope Selector (Global vs Per-Account): Choose "All Accounts (Global Defaults)" to define universal defaults for every connected profile, or choose any individual connected account to set dedicated overrides.
• Per-Account Custom Override: Connected accounts feature a Custom Defaults toggle. When enabled, the account adheres to its own unique rules; when disabled, it automatically inherits your global configuration.
• Meta Official Trial Reels: Toggle whether new Reels default to Trial Reels (shared strictly to non-followers first to evaluate viral traction before presenting to current followers).
